| To
search rippehealth.com, type in a few descriptive words and click
the search button for a list of relevant results. Search returns
pages that contain all the words in your query. Refining or narrowing
your search is as simple as adding more words to the search terms
you have already entered. Your new search will return a smaller
subset of the pages found for your original "too broad"
query.
Automatic "AND" Queries
By default, Search only returns pages that include
all of your search terms. There is no need to include "AND"
between terms. For example, to search for videos of Rippe Health,
enter:
Rippe Health Videos
Note: Search is not case
sensitive. Rippe Health Videos
and rippe health videos
are treated as the same search.
"OR" Searches
Search supports the logical "OR" operator.
To retrieve pages that include either word A or word B, use an uppercase
"OR" between terms. For example, to search for content
about Rippe health books and journals, enter:
rippe health books OR
journals
Phrase Searches
You can search for phrases by adding quotation marks.
Words enclosed in double quotes appear together in all returned
documents.
"schedule an appointment"
signing up "rippe health"
Note: Search also recognizes
hyphens, slashes, periods, equal signs and apostrophes as phrase
connectors. For example:
RLI-staff
rippe-health-Evaluation
Word Variations (Stemming)
To provide the most accurate results, Search does
not use stemming or support wildcard searches. In other words, Search
uses exactly the words that you enter in the search box. Searches
for "update" or "update*" will not yield "updating"
or "updater." If in doubt, try all forms:
update OR updating OR
updater
Excluding Words
You can exclude a word from your search by putting
a minus sign ("-") immediately in front of the term you
want to exclude. Make sure you include a space before the minus
sign. For example, to find a list of all "rippe health multimedia"
that isn'"television", type:
rippe multimedia -television
