Fitness Walking, written in conjunction with Robert Sweetgall and Frank Katch, was Dr. Rippe’s first book for the general public. It became an instant best seller and ultimately sold 135,000 copies. In this book Dr. Rippe coined the phrase “fitness walking” to denote walking for health and fitness benefits.
