BACKGROUND

Weight Watchers has been for many years the leading source of credible information and programs in the area of healthy weight loss. Weight Watchers approached Rippe Lifestyle Institute to study various aspects of the Weight Watchers Program and provide further scientific information on various aspects of healthy weight loss and its multiple health benefits.

RLI'S RESPONSE

In 2004, RLI entered into a multi year relationship with Weight Watchers to provide credible scientific research behind various aspects of the Weight Watchers Program. Between 2004-2007, Rippe Lifestyle Institute researchers presented 53 scientific abstracts at various national and international scientific meetings reporting the results of multiple randomized, clinical controlled trials conducted at Rippe Lifestyle Institute utilizing the Weight Watchers Program. In addition, Dr. Rippe wrote a book, along with Weight Watchers, entitled Weight Loss That Lasts: Break Through the 10 Big Diet Myths (John Wiley and Sons, 2004)

RESULTS

The collaboration between Rippe Lifestyle Institute and Weight Watchers has further solidified Weight Watchers pre-eminent position as the leading authority on all aspects of healthy weight management. The scientific underpinnings for this program have been supported by multiple scientific publications authored by RLI researchers.
