Zhiping Yu received her doctoral degree in Nutritional Science from Penn State University and her undergraduate and Masters degrees in Food Science in China. During graduate school, she worked as a graduate assistant in a eating disorder lab and also as a teaching assistant for several nutrition classes. She has published in peer-reviewed scientific journals as well as presented at several scientific conferences. She did her dietetic internship at Tulane University and is an ADA Registered Dietitian.
Zhiping Yu’s research interests are mainly focused on biological mechanisms, nutrition and lifestyle interventions in food intake- related health problems such as obesity, eating disorders, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
