Ms. Summers, a registered dietitian, earned
a Bachelor of Science degree in human nutrition at Winthrop
University in South Carolina. After the completion
of her dietetic internship at the National Institutes of
Health, Ms. Summers pursued a graduate degree in clinical
epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Public
Health in Maryland. During her studies, she worked
in the areas of weight management and cardiovascular disease
prevention. Ms. Summers currently serves as a senior
research dietitian for the Rippe Lifestyle Institute and
Rippe Health Assessment.
